Man wanted for the brutal murder of his girlfriend busted driving a red VW Polo

Kidnapping and attempted murder are serious offenses that require a swift and effective response from law enforcement.

The recent arrest of a 38-year-old man in Limpopo in connection with these charges is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the provincial police force.

According to Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the suspect had been on the run since February 2024, when he allegedly assaulted and stabbed his girlfriend with a sharp object in the Mokwakwaila policing area.

The brutal nature of the crime sent shockwaves through the community, and the police were under pressure to bring the perpetrator to justice.

Their efforts paid off when they received information about the suspect’s whereabouts.

A team consisting of police officers from the Limpopo provincial vispol task team and Mopani tracking team acted swiftly on the tip-off and intercepted the suspect as he was driving a red Volkswagen Polo Vivo along Bolobedu main road.

The 38-year-old man was arrested on the spot and taken into custody.

Colonel Ledwaba commended the law enforcement members for their accurate and timely response, which led to the apprehension of the suspect.
