What needs to be done to end Mob justice?
If the police, courts, and correctional services don’t do their job well, criminals will always be around. Communities know that the justice system can be lenient with criminals, and when offenders continue to roam free, people feel like the law protects the wrongdoers. This makes communities take matters into their own hands.
Even though it might seem right to some, mob justice is not okay. In any organized society, only the government has the right to give out justice. Encouraging this kind of action will just create more conflicts.
To stop mob justice, the police need to get better at stopping crime. This means making local governments and the justice system stronger. This way, people won’t feel the need to take justice into their own hands.
