Man aged 44 makes chilling confession about killing his 70-year-old girlfriend for “cheating”
A chilling murder case unfolded in Nata as Goitsemodimo Mbise, a 44-year-old man, appeared before the Francistown Magistrate’s Court facing charges of murdering Dimakatso Mokhutshwane, aged 70, between March 28 and April 1.
The media reports that the prosecution alleges that Mbise suspected Mokhutshwane of infidelity, leading to a tragic end for the victim.
Detective Sergeant Linah Johannes, the Investigating Officer, provided harrowing details during the court hearing, stating, “The accused admitted to having an infidelity dispute with the deceased and confessed to hitting her, resulting in her collapse.”
Mbise was the last person seen with Mokhutshwane, who was reported missing on March 28, further raising suspicions against him.
Johannes recounted how Mbise led authorities to the crime scene, where Mokhutshwane’s lifeless body was discovered wrapped in a blanket and bound with wire, discarded in a water drainage system.
The disturbing revelations shed light on the tragic fate that befell the victim.
Expressing concerns over Mbise’s safety and the ongoing investigations, Johannes highlighted the community’s outrage over the incident, emphasizing the potential risks of granting bail to the accused.
