Daring Nigerian arrested at a taxi rank trying to sell 100 bags of drugs
The King Cetshwayo SAPS Task Team arrested a Nigerian national on Saturday afternoon for dealing and possession of drugs at the Richards Bay CBD taxi rank.
The suspect was in a parked vehicle outside the taxi rank in Bullion Boulevard road. Upon searching, members recovered items believed to be drugs in a hidden compartment.
They were tested with a drug field test and tested positive for narcotics. Over 100 bags of illegal substances were retrieved with an estimated value of over R19 000.
He was arrested and was expected to appear in court on Monday on charges of contravention of the drugs and drug trafficking act for dealing in drugs and possession of drugs.
