From Township Trials to PSL Triumph: Minenhle Ragimana’s 228.4km Journey to TS Galaxy

In a remarkable tale of dedication and dreams, former Indlovu FC winger Minenhle ‘Minnie’ Ragimana has signed with Premier Soccer League (PSL) side TS Galaxy after an impressive 228.4km journey for trials.

The 19-year-old talent from Rabie Ridge, known for his speed and versatility, made the trek from Rabie Ridge to KwaMhlanga for trials at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in Mpumalanga.

The Minenhle Ragimana story

Minnie, who joined Indlovu FC in 2020 at the age of 16, expressed his elation upon receiving the news of his selection for Galaxy’s development side.

“I attended the TS Galaxy trials hoping to get a promotion to the first team and get a chance.”

“Once at the senior level, I am hoping to spend seasons with the team and win trophies,” he shared.

His former coach, Thato Legodi, and team captain Lukhanyo ‘Ntsimbi’ Mapeyi played crucial roles in nurturing Minnie’s talent.

Despite any setbacks, both coach and captain provided unwavering support.

Coach Legodi, emotional about Minnie’s departure, described him as a humble, young, and dedicated player.

Reflecting on Minnie’s potential, Legodi mentioned,

“Minnie is the special fish inside the pond, and to get another Minnie will be difficult.”

” I am sure we will have to search for a new left-footed player who’s as dedicated and talented as he is.”

Minnie, filled with gratitude for the support he received, looks forward to making his family proud and inspiring other township youngsters through his hard work.

His aspirations include playing in Europe, with a dream to don the Liverpool jersey in the next five years

As Minnie embarks on this exciting chapter of his career with TS Galaxy, coach Legodi believes he is the future of the team.
