She allegedly killed her own child – another bombshell dropped in Agnes insurance fraud case

New revelations keep adding up on Agnes Segomotsi Setshwantsho.

She is already facing murder and insurance fraud charges.

She appeared in court again on Friday to face another murder charge.

The latest charge stems from an incident where Setshwantsho, who had insured her child for a significant sum, made an insurance claim after the child’s death under suspicious circumstances at Kuruman Hospital.

Setshwantsho, originally from North West, is currently in custody after being denied bail by the Mmabatho magistrate’s court on January 19.

It was during this hearing that she was also facing charges of murder and insurance fraud.

The charges against her were initially brought forward on November 16, when she was arrested on suspicion of murdering her relatives in order to benefit from insurance claims.

According to a police report, one of the murders, which was initially ruled as a “natural death,” occurred in Mmabatho in the North West.

The report states that a female relative died under mysterious circumstances in March of the previous year.

The investigation into Setshwantsho’s activities revealed similar incidents where her family members, whom she had insured, also died under suspicious circumstances.

Mojalefa Senokoatsane, the spokesperson for the Northern Cape National Prosecuting Authority, confirmed that Setshwantsho had insured her child for a substantial amount of money.
