Refiloe Usman’s heartbroken parents narrate horrific tragedy
Matshidiso Usman and Lucky Mkhwanazi are devastated parents but they have braved their pain to share the heart-wrenching story of losing their daughter, Refiloe Usman.
With tears streaming down their faces, they recounted the tragic events that unfolded.
Lucky Mkhwanazi, clutching his daughter’s hand, desperately pleaded with her, saying, “Hold on, daddy’s here.”
The little girl, Refiloe Usman, lay motionless on the ground as her father tried to comfort her.
Mkhwanazi received a frantic phone call from staff at Mandlethu Primary School in Tsakane, Ekurhuleni, informing him that his six-year-old daughter had collapsed and was vomiting.
The parents were overcome with grief as they described their last moments with Refiloe.
Matshidiso Usman, her mother, sobbed, “She was such a bright and happy child. We never expected anything like this to happen.”
The loss of their beloved daughter has left them shattered and searching for answers.
The tragedy has raised concerns about the safety and well-being of children in schools.
