Khune ruled out but there is some good news

According to Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane, Khama Billiat has resumed team training, but Itumeleng Khune won’t play against Chippa United on Saturday.

On Saturday the Glamour Boys will take on the Chilli Boys at Moses Mabhida Stadium after picking up three straight victories in the DStv Premiership and moving up to the fourth position.

The Glamour Boys had a media day on Thursday, where Zwane provided a quick update on his team, stating that while Khune will be out, others, including Billiat and Happy Mashiane, had resumed training while George Matlou and Zitha Kwinika had returned after their suspensions.

We’ll keep an eye on Khama Billiat today. We’ll check to see if he’s game-ready,” he informed the press. Itu won’t be able to play in this week’s game. Hopefully, he will improve significantly moving ahead. If my memory is correct, George and Zitha are being welcomed back after their ban. Happy has been having some difficulty, but he just started training two days ago, so we are also controlling him. I believe we currently have a clear health status, and we just want it to stay that way. We hope that if we do sustain an injury, it will only be one, a few knocks, or possibly two since you need everyone available at this point in the season to establish the ideal chemistry.
