Mpumalanga grandmother dies inside court while attending grandchild’s case
An elderly woman collapsed and died inside a courtroom on the morning of June 5th in Evander, Mpumalanga. The incident occurred as she was attending her grandchild’s court case.
According to reports, the grandmother collapsed just minutes before the court proceedings were set to begin at the Evander Regional Court. Emergency personnel were immediately summoned to the scene, but despite their efforts, the old woman was declared dead on site.
She was in court to stand as a witness to a crime in which her grandchild was a victim of.
In a seperate incident, the decomposing body of a man was discovered in his informal home in Mhlasini, KwaZulu-Natal, on Thursday.
Residents contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) reporting a pungent smell emanating from their neighbour’s home.
Upon arrival, Reaction Officers peered through a gap in the door and discovered the man hanging by a rope tied to a wooden rafter.
According to neighbours, the deceased had last been seen on Sunday. The circumstances surrounding the man’s death are currently under investigation.
