The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has expressed satisfaction with the life sentence handed down to Thabang Mahlangu, a serial rapist who terrorized the community of Cosmo City in Johannesburg between 2018 and 2020.
Mahlangu’s reign of terror involved breaking into people’s homes, committing acts of rape, and stealing their belongings, instilling fear and trauma in his victims.

In addition to the charges of rape, Mahlangu also faced allegations of aggravated robbery and housebreaking, further highlighting the severity and extent of his criminal behaviour.
Phindi Mjonondwane, a representative of the NPA, emphasized the organization’s unwavering commitment to seeking justice for victims of heinous crimes like those committed by Mahlangu.
