DA targets more corrupt government ministers after taking Mashatile to the cleaners

The Democratic Alliance (DA) is not backing down in its fight against corruption within the South African government.

After delivering a damning dossier on Deputy President Paul Mashatile to the office of the president, the party has made it clear that they have other corrupt individuals in their sights.

The leader of the DA, John Steenhuisen, expressed his frustration with the lack of action taken against those implicated in corruption scandals.

He highlighted the extensive evidence provided by investigative journalists that detailed Mashatile’s involvement in corruption and state capture over a span of almost two decades.

Steenhuisen emphasized that this behavior has become all too common under the ruling African National Congress (ANC) party.

However, Steenhuisen made it clear that this was just the beginning of the DA’s efforts to expose corruption.

He stated, “We are very frustrated. Since the Zondo commission, no action has been taken against any of the people who were identified there, including the people in President Ramaphosa’s Cabinet.”

He further criticized the lack of action taken against individuals such as Zizi Kodwa, Gwede Mantashe, and other members of the Cabinet who were implicated in serious accusations.

Despite their determination, Steenhuisen and his team were left waiting at the Union Buildings after attempting to hand over the dossier.

No one bothered to meet with them, leaving the DA feeling ignored and disrespected.
