“There is a need for a goalkeeper at the club (Pirates),” said the source.
“At the moment Pieterse is the best candidate so far and they are ready to give him a good offer. The situation with Ofori is complicated. We are not sure if he (Ofori) is going to sign or not. But either way, they want to sign Pieterse from Sundowns. He will strengthen the goalkeeping department and that’s what the team needs, another good goalkeeper.
According to the source, the goalkeeping division is the club’s top priority, and the entire roster appears balanced at every position.
Since joining the team, Pieterse hasn’t been able to claim the top slot for the Brazilians as his own.
According to reports, the management of the Buccaneers is prepared to meet Pieterse’s expectations and is considering going above and above to get his services.

Ofori will reportedly be fired if a deal cannot be reached between him and the team, which will put pressure on the management to sign Pieterse.
Many goalkeepers, including Melusi Buthelezi of TS Galaxy, have been mentioned in connection with the Buccaneers in the past, but nothing has come of the claimed interest.
