Big Zulu left empty handed

Rapper and owner of Nkabi Records, Big Zulu, has claimed that he did not receive any compensation after his artist, Lwah Ndlunkulu, featured on the hit song “Paris” by Mthandeni “Igcokama Elisha.”

Despite the song becoming one of the biggest hits in South Africa in 2023, Big Zulu and Lwah Ndlunkulu did not see a single cent from its success.

According to Big Zulu, there was no formal agreement between him and Mthandeni when he agreed to feature Lwah Ndlunkulu on the track.

He explained to Sunday World, “Sometimes as artists we do each other favors for the sake of brotherhood and unity.”

It appears that Mthandeni is now reluctant to work with Lwah Ndlunkulu again due to the overwhelming success of the song.

Despite not receiving any financial gain, Big Zulu remains supportive of Lwah Ndlunkulu’s rise to fame.

He stated, “I am happy for Lwah Ndlunkulu anyway, because her rise and success reflect the hard work we put in behind the scenes at Nkabi Records.”

Lwah Ndlunkulu, on the other hand, did not attend the celebration event for “Paris Song of The Year.”

Her absence sparked curiosity among her followers, who were eagerly anticipating a performance of the song with Mthandeni on stage.
