Traffic Police Officer in hot water for intimidating other officers and community in viral videos

A Gauteng Traffic Police officer is facing a slew of criminal charges following a highly publicized confrontation with Ekurhuleni Metro Police officers, captured on video. The incident has brought to light serious allegations of misconduct and abuse of power.

The charges against the officer are extensive and include intimidation, common assault, grievous bodily harm, defeating the ends of justice, and interfering with police duties.

The confrontation that triggered these charges occurred during a routine patrol by the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department. According to reports, the Gauteng Traffic Police officer was stopped for a standard check.
