Exclusive Gagasi FM exposé by Laura M

In light of the resignation of Penny Ntuli from Gagasi FM after she was informed that upon renewal of her contract, she would receive R2 800 salary per month, files have been exposed about the Radio station’s alleged exploitation of employees.

Laura Makhafola who is professional personal development, mental health coach and an inspirational speaker , popularly known as Coach Lauram, took to social media to share her experience with Gagasi FM.

“I know how it feels to be taken advantage of by Gagasi FM. In 2022 I was approached by one of the employees to do a show every Monday, I was approached because I was hosting men space on Twitter ( now X) called dear black men are you ok. I created a platform where black men opened up about their emotional wounds,pains ,traumas ,challenges without the fear of being judged.” She said

According to Laura M, the person who approached her suggested that she should take her idea to a larger audience and give it a Zulu name, which resulted in change of the original name of the show to Indoda ayikhali ( men don’t cry).

“I served for six months, the show grew enormously and become top of the station based on stats. However I was erased like dysfunctional pen and was told management wants a zulu speaking person who’s based in KZN as the station is a zulu speaking station so my services are no longer needed.” She said.

“Didn’t they know that when i started the show from the ground? When i captured listeners? When I gave free coaching sessions to their listeners to help them with their challenges?” She questioned .

During her exposé, she did not shy away from providing screenshots as proof to her accusations for those that engaged with her post, she also named and shamed those who did her dirty.

“All this happened because I asked to be compensated for my efforts as I’ve been with the show for 6 months and have proven myself. Worse part I was told via a mere whatsapp message by the show producer name Kwazi, he was very rude. I wanted to put in a fight but was advised to let it go. I understand how Penny Ntuli feels.” She concluded

Amid all speculations and allegations Gagasi FM remains mute on the allegations and continues with business as usual.
