2 men killed execution style in KZN

On Saturday morning, two men were executed in a hail of bullets in Buffelsdraai, KwaZulu-Natal.

Residents began contacting Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at 06:14, reporting multiple gunshots. Some callers suspected an armed robbery in progress.

Multiple Reaction Officers were dispatched and upon arrival, they discovered the body of a man lying on the road. RUSA Paramedics arrived shortly thereafter and confirmed that the victim had been shot multiple times in the head.

The body of a second man was found at the base of an embankment a few meters away, also shot multiple times in the head. Both victims were declared dead at the scene.

A .38 Special revolver and a black bag containing live 9mm ammunition were recovered next to the second victim. Approximately 20 spent 9mm cartridges were found at the scene.

The motive for the murders is currently unknown.
