13 adults found lying around a taxi
Out of a total of 13 people in a taxi, seven people were killed and six others injured yesterday afternoon when the taxi they were riding in overturned on the N3 highway close to the Bergville Plaza in Ladysmith.
At about 16:52, ER24 and other services discovered the taxi standing upright in the middle of the road. Around the car were observed thirteen (13) adults sprawled out.

From the 13 people, when doctors examined the victims, they discovered that four ladies and three men had already passed away from their wounds. They were declared dead as nothing could be done to save them.
The injuries of six additional adults ranged from minor to critical. Before being taken to surrounding hospitals for emergency care, the individuals were treated and given advanced life support interventions

Although the specifics of this accident are unknown, local authorities were on the site to conduct additional investigations.
The majority of accidents involving taxis are caused by violating traffic laws, speeding, and poor vehicle maintenance. Taxi drivers need to understand that they do not own the road and should always follow the rules of the road like the rest of the motorists.
