Meet Zee Nxumalo – South Africa’s next superstar

Zee Nxumalo is a rising star in the music industry who is quickly climbing the ranks and becoming a national treasure.

At just 21 years old, she has already made a name for herself with viral collaborations and hit songs.

One of her recent successes is the smash hit ‘Funk 55’ with DBN Gogo and Shakes & Les, which became a staple at parties and in cars during the festive season.

Nxumalo attributes her success to consistency and hard work. She hasn’t taken her foot off the gas pedal, and it’s paying off.

“Songs like this feel like they come directly from God,” Nxumalo explained. The inspiration for ‘Funk 55’ struck her while she was waiting for an Uber.

She quickly recorded the song in one take before heading out. The results speak for themselves.

Since her first mainstream single ‘Pholile,’ featuring industry heavyweights Azana and Mlindo The Vocalist, Nxumalo has shown her versatility with hit features on Zulu Mkhathini and Bandros’ songs.

She believes that consistency is key to success in the music industry.

“It’s not always about making big songs or always making hits. It’s about consistency,” Nxumalo said.

She emphasizes the importance of being present at studio sessions, photoshoots, and promotional opportunities. She is dedicated to her craft and is always ready to put in the work.

Her debut EP ‘KwaNxumalo,’ released in June 2022, has already garnered over 500K streams.

With the growing attention on Nxumalo, these numbers are only expected to increase.
