Zimbabweans clash with Joburg cops after they barred controversial Zim musician from performing

Zimbabwean hip-hop artist Holy Ten’s recent performance in Johannesburg ended in disarray when police abruptly shut down the show, leading to a chaotic scene of fans hurling bottles in frustration.

The incident, which occurred at the Newtown Music Factory, adds to the rapper’s growing list of controversial appearances.

Zimbabwean media reports that Holy Ten was scheduled to perform alongside Master H and Voltz JT, but his set was cut short at 3 am due to police intervention.

The reason for the shutdown remains unclear, but the sudden turn of events sparked outrage among the crowd.

Videos circulating online depict a scene of pandemonium, with bottles being thrown towards the stage as fans express their anger and disappointment.

“The atmosphere became increasingly tense due to the fans’ reaction,” reports ZimCelebs, painting a picture of a chaotic and unfortunate end to the evening.

This incident is not the first time Holy Ten has faced controversy.

His recent show in Zvishavane was marred by violence, prompting him to call for an apology from fellow artist Winky D, whom he accused of inciting the attack.

Additionally, his album “RISKY LIFE II” was removed from streaming platforms due to copyright claims.

Social media has been abuzz with reactions to the Johannesburg incident.
