Woman who refused to use filthy tavern toilet ambushed by 4 men while relieving herself in the bush

Members of the police’s Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) in Phalaborwa, Limpopo, have launched a manhunt following a bitter rape incident that occurred on Friday in the Lulekani and Hoedspruit policing areas.

The Star reports that Limpopo provincial police spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, provided details of the horrific incidents, highlighting the urgency of apprehending the perpetrators.

Colonel Ledwaba recounted the first incident, stating, “At about 10.45 pm, a 29-year-old woman was with her male friend at a local tavern in Biko location under the Lulekani policing area. The woman requested her friend to accompany her to the bathroom which she found dirty. They then went to nearby bushes where they were accosted by two armed men.”

The assailants, joined by two others, proceeded to gang-rape the woman after separating her from her boyfriend.

Following the ordeal, the woman sought help from passing motorists and was eventually assisted and taken to the local police station to report the crime.

Ledwaba emphasized the severity of the situation, noting that the woman had been subjected to a traumatic experience at the hands of the perpetrators.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities are actively pursuing leads to bring the culprits to justice.

Ledwaba also confirmed that at the time of reporting, there was no information indicating harm to the woman’s boyfriend during the incident.
