TS Galaxy Face Allegations of Oppressive Fines, Raise Concerns Over Players Well-being

TS Galaxy, are facing harsh criticism following startling allegations of handing over unreasonable fines on players for seemingly minor offences.

The South African Football Players Union (SAFPU) recently made a routine visit to the club, only to discover a series of oppressive measures that have raised eyebrows within the football community.

The Rockets, as TS Galaxy is known, have been a fixture in the PSL for four seasons.

Like other teams, the players are members of SAFPU, an organization dedicated to safeguarding the rights and well-being of football players in South Africa.

However, recent revelations suggest that not all is well within the confines of TS Galaxy.

During SAFPU’s routine visit to TS Galaxy, the Secretary-General, Nhlanhla Shabalala, uncovered a series of grave allegations against the club’s management.

It appears that the players have been subjected to heavy fines for what seem like minor and routine occurrences during matches.

Players are allegedly fined a staggering R10,000 for merely protesting after being involved in a tackle—a common aspect of the game.

Shabalala expressed his concern, stating, “A player would be fined R10,000 for protesting after having been involved in a tackle which is all part of the game.”

The shocking fines extend to interactions with referees.

Shabalala revealed, “But yet, when you just go to the referee and say it was not a foul but the referee gives you a yellow card because you engaged with the referee, you get fined R10,000.”

Furthermore, players are reportedly fined a whopping R15,000 for wearing boots that the management deems inappropriate for the game.

Shabalala questioned the nature of such decisions, stating, “For using boots that they say are not specified for the game…players are fined R15,000.

“There needs to be justice for the players who have fears.”

In response to these alarming allegations, Shabalala and SAFPU are calling for clubs, including TS Galaxy, to honor the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

The CBA is designed to afford players more freedom to champion their rights while maintaining consistent performance on the field.

As of now, TS Galaxy has not officially responded to the claims made by SAFPU, leaving fans, players, and the football community at large eagerly awaiting clarification on the matter.
