Over the years, Lorch played an importane role in the Pirates’ successes, securing three MTN8 titles and the Nedbank Cup.

Despite these achievements, the 30-year-old attacker expressed his long-standing desire to play for Mamelodi Sundowns.

“I always wanted to play for a team like Sundowns,” he declared.

The 176-appearance veteran for Pirates expressed his happiness at joining Mamelodi Sundowns as well as his eagerness to meet his new teammates.

“I am Thembinkosi Lorch, and I am proud to be yellow,” he added.

Lorch’s arrival at Mamelodi Sundowns adds valuable experience to the squad, as they aim to successfully defend their PSL title in the current campaign.

Known for his all round attacking skills, the attacker can play either on the wing or just behind the striker.
