Sundowns possible replacements for Peter Shalulile

In January, Mamelodi Sundowns may need to replace their leading scorer. Although Peter Shalulile-caliber players are hard to come by,the Brazilians have possibilities due to their financial resources that they have at their disposal.

Filling Shalulile’s shoes would be a difficult task. In just nine DStv Premiership games this season, the Namibian has six goals and an assist. He was the most dangerous shooter in the nation last season with a remarkable 23 goals and five assists.

KHANYISA MAYO

Khanyisa Mayo of Cape Town City has four goals and two assists for the season of the DStv Premiership. The 24-year-old Bafana Bafana striker who already has a strong transfer rumour surrounding him fits the bill. His popularity is also growing.

ZAKHELE LEPASA

Lepasa is also a good replacement 9

Lepasa, who is 25 years old and a complete Bafana Bafana international, is prepared to advance in his career. Would the Pirates approve of a sale? Most likely not. But Sundowns might put their determination to the test. There is no denying his brilliance, but it will be difficult to lure a fan favourite away from the Buccaneers.

EVIDENCE MAKGOPA

Sundowns possible replacements for Peter Shalulile. Makgopa does not appear to be ready to compete at the highest level, but he is still only 22. With so many stikers at the club, it’s unlikely that he will be able to get games at Pirates, and his potential resale value is considerable. He is currently unfit as well.
