See shocking details of the Ermelo garage murder

Ermelo police are investigating a murder involving the shooting of 25-year-old Smangaliso Innocent Nkosi (Smanga) at a local garage on November 12, 2023.

According to reports, the victim and his friends were refueling when a man known to them approached, fired multiple shots at close range, and calmly fled after collecting cartridges of the bullets fired.

The law enforcement and other parties were called to the scene at the garage, with Emergency Medical Services confirming the victim’s death.

This incident has sent shockwaves throughout the country, leaving many people wondering as to what let to such a ruthless killing.

According to information recieved, the deceased and his friends were drinking at a certain house that night. They then left the house to go buy something to eat in the early hours of that morning when the hitman (Inkabi) paid him a visit at the Ermelo Engen Filling Station.

The deceased, Smanga, is allegedly a well known criminal who has earned a himself a reputation of being the master of stabbing. He is said to have been very soft spoken but incredibly dangerous and brutal.

Smanga was allegedly the leader of a popular and feared gang called AmaJuta. Him, together with his gang have a long list of stabbed victims.

According to reports, the Police are aware of criminal activities around Ermelo which the deceased and his friends are involved in. There are alleged two or more gangs within the area. The deceased brother was also allegedly killed execution style. The AmaJuta gang is allegedly know for terrorising the families of those that have conflict with them with no consequences.

While he family mourns and prepares for the funeral of the gang leader tensions expected to rise. As the hitman is allegedly hunting down a friend of the deceased who is alleged part of the gang.
