Ronwen Williams named 9th best goalkeeper in the world

Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams has been recognised as the 9th best goalkeeper in the world at the prestigious Ballon d’Or awards. The event, celebrated for honouring the best in football, saw Argentina’s Emiliano Martinez reclaim the Yashin Trophy for the top goalkeeper.

The Mamelodi Sundowns shot-stopper was awarded this honour for his outstanding performances last season. Williams played a crucial role in helping Bafana Bafana secure a third-place finish at the Africa Cup of Nations, showcasing his talent and leadership on the field.
