Police thugs| Former Sergeant arrested for kidnapping
Seven suspects, including a former police sergeant and a lady, are scheduled to appear before the Nkomazi Magistrate’s Courton Monday, December 19, 2022.
They will appear on charges of kidnapping and assaulting a 37-year-old victim in KaMaqhekeza on December 15, 2022, at around 1:00 a.m.

Two suspicious-looking automobiles, a navy blue BMW and a powder blue Mini Cooper were reportedly sighted by members of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) at Dludluma outside of Komatipoort. Eight people were inside the cars when they were stopped for an investigation.
According to reports, the victim had a chance to inform SANDF personnel that he had been beaten and kidnapped from his home. All seven of the other passengers, who ranged in age from 22 to 43, were present.

The suspects and victim were taken by Army personnel, who subsequently turned them over to Tonga’s police, who are now looking into the circumstances surrounding the alleged kidnapping and assault.
The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela applauded members of the SANDF for their vigilance and outstanding work which saved the victim’s life.
