“Coach Pitso will be returning to the gulf and has signed a four-month contract with the team until the end of the season.”

“His mandate is clear and that is to ensure that Abha survives relegation and plays in the Pro League again next season.”

Abha FC currently finds itself in a tough spot, as they are in in the relegation zone at the 17th spot in the highly competitive Saudi Pro League.

With only five points separating them from safety, the appointment of Mosimane is seen as a strategic move to navigate through the challenges and secure the club’s position in the league.

“His mandate is clear and that is to ensure that Abha survives relegation and plays in the Pro League again next season.”

Amidst ongoing speculation regarding Mosimane’s future, various clubs, including Egyptian outfit Zamalek, the Nigeria national team, and Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs, were reportedly interested in acquiring his services.

However, the seasoned coach opted for a short-term four-month contract with Abha FC, signaling his commitment to the immediate challenge at hand.

This move marks a sensational return to Saudi Arabia for Mosimane, who previously enjoyed success with Al Ahli Jeddah.

His accomplishments included promoting the team to the Pro League and clinching the Saudi First Division Yelo League title in the previous season, accompanied by two Coach of the Month accolades.
