Pirates wants to sign R7.5 million top African goalkeeper
A quality African goalkeeper with international experience who is available for R7.5 million has been identified as Orlando Pirates’ newest transfer target.
According to the South African, pirates want to sign goalkeeper Simon Omossola of Cameroon.
He is now the latest transfer target for Jose Riveiro and the Buccaneers for the upcoming January transfer window.

He is their most recent target for a transfer, and following Souaibou Marou, he is the second Cameroonian player to catch Riveiro and the Bucs’ management’s attention.

Meanwhile one of the Orlando Pirates’ top players will receive a new contract offer when his current one expires in June 2023.
Richard Ofori, the goalie and pivotal player for Pirates, will soon receive a new contract.
The Pirates management wants to keep him with the Bucs past the conclusion of his current deal in June of the next year.
The Bucs’ administration will soon present Ofori with a new contract.

“I think a lot of people know that Ofori’s contract is ending next year, so, obviously there have to be talks between the player and the management. It has to happen soon because if you take time in such situations you might end up losing the player. He is the number one choice at the club and the management obviously wants to keep him,” said the club insider.
Therefore, Ofori is expected to stay with the Bucs for many years to come
