Nandipha Magudumana launches bid to gag Showmax over upcoming docu-series “Tracking Thabo Bester”
Her legal team sent a letter to the Multichoice Group and Showmax, requesting a full copy of the four-part series by the upcoming Saturday.
The letter from Magudumana’s legal representatives highlights her concerns regarding the accuracy and legitimacy of the content featured in the docu-series.
It asserts that she did not provide any rights, permission, or authorization for filming, nor did she participate in any personal interviews.
The absence of her involvement raises doubts about the credibility and factual accuracy of the documentary.
Magudumana’s legal team emphasized that any inaccuracies or misrepresentations in the series could potentially harm her reputation and compromise her ability to defend herself against any false allegations.
The letter underscores the importance of upholding the truth and ensuring that any information presented in the documentary is factually correct.
In response to the looming release of ‘Tracking Thabo Bester’, Dr. Nandipha Magudumana is prepared to pursue legal action by filing an urgent application in the Free State High Court to halt the broadcast of the docu-series.
The legal dispute underscores the significance of protecting individual rights and ensuring that individuals are afforded the opportunity to defend themselves against any misleading or inaccurate portrayals in the media.
