Musk takes another dig at Malema as their feud continues into 2024

South African-born billionaire and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, has once again found himself embroiled in a social media feud, this time with Julius Malema, the leader of South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

Musk took to his social media platform X to call Malema a “genocidal lunatic” on 2 January.

The comment was in response to a post about the “fate of South Africa’s white citizens” by @EndWokeness, which accused Malema of openly calling for genocide against white people.

Musk’s strong words reflect his concern for the safety and well-being of the white population in his home country.

In response to Musk’s comments, Vuyani Pambo, an EFF MP and national spokesperson, accused Musk of panicking about the outcome of South Africa’s 2024 elections.

Pambo stated that Malema will be the future president of the country and urged Musk to start preparing to address Malema as “commander in chief”.

Pambo didn’t stop there, however, and went on to call Musk a “criminal” for his “illegal Starlink satellite operations”.

This refers to Musk’s ambitious project to create a global satellite internet network called Starlink.

Pambo’s accusations highlight the growing concerns about the potential impact of Musk’s ventures and the need for regulation.

It is clear that tensions are high between Musk and Malema, with both men using social media to air their grievances.

Musk’s comments reflect his concerns about the future of South Africa’s white population, while Pambo’s response suggests confidence in Malema’s political ambitions.

As the 2024 elections draw closer, it remains to be seen how this feud will play out and what impact it may have on the political landscape of South Africa.

In the meantime, both Musk and Malema continue to make headlines, proving that even billionaires and political leaders are not immune to social media controversies.
