Mthokozisi Shabangu’s cause of death revealed
This year has not been kind to the South African entertainment industry. It’s only towards the end of July but the industry has lost so many stars already. Just as the sudden death of an award-winning actress Busisiwe Lurayi was starting to sink in. Another shocking death of a Mthokozisi Shabangu has taken the country by absolute surprise.
Mncedisi Shabangu, an actor, dramatist, and theater director passed away. He was 53.
Mthokozisi Shabangu, the actor’s brother, confirmed the news to TshisaLIVE, stating that Mncedisi passed away early on Sunday morning after complaining of chest symptoms.
“He only complained of chest pains. He was taken to the clinic and was declared dead when he arrived because of a short-notice illness, he added.
“Dear all, it is with great sadness that the Shabangu family informs you of the sudden passing of Mncedisi Baldwin Shabangu. He passed on in the early hours of this morning. The family appreciates all messages of condolence and requests privacy at this difficult time. Memorial and funeral arrangements will be announced soon.” read the statement.
Mthokozisi stated that the family was asking for privacy at this time while they awaited an autopsy to determine the precise cause of his passing.
Mncedisi gained notoriety for his appearance on Rhythm City as Khulekani Ngobese. Among many other shows, he also made appearances on The Lab and iNumber Number.
The timeline has been pouring with tributes to the deceased celebrity, who was mourned by his friends and followers.
