Man opens a big cream bag and runs away

Detectives from the South African Police Service (SAPS) Gelvandale are turning to the locals for help in finding the relatives of an unnamed murdered man whose body was discovered on Saturday morning, 3 December 2022, in Grundling Street in Shauderville.

A large cream bag is said to have been lying behind a tree and against a wall in Grundling Street adjacent to a school at around 09:30 when a bush dweller discovered it hile searching the bushes for scrap. When he opened the bag, he saw a male body that had already started to decompose.

A belt was around the victim’s neck, his hands were bound behind his back with another belt, and sellotape was used to bind his feet. Yhe bag was also tied.

He promptly informed the community before running away. An adult male was found to be in the bag, the deceased was dressed in blue jeans and a white T-shirt. He has a large build.

A murder case is being looked at. The precise cause of death will be determined by the post mortem.
