“Love starts with sacrifice” – Khama Billiat pours cold water on Kaizer Chiefs after receiving a R2 million car at his new club

After a tumultuous departure from Kaizer Chiefs, Khama Billiat has opened up about his struggles with homesickness following his return to Zimbabwe.

The talented forward spent 14 years in South Africa, making a name for himself in the Premier Soccer League with clubs like Ajax Cape Town and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Despite achieving success and winning numerous accolades during his time in South Africa, Billiat has admitted that he has been longing for home.

His time at Chiefs was marred by injuries and challenges, leading to his decision to part ways with the Naturena-based club at the start of the current season.

Now, at his new club Yadah in Zimbabwe, Billiat is feeling the love and support that he has been craving.

In a heartfelt statement to Soccer24, he expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he has received at Yadah.

Reflecting on his time at Sundowns and Chiefs, Billiat acknowledged the support he received from both clubs, but emphasized that the love and appreciation he has experienced at Yadah are unparalleled.

“The love that I’m getting is simply amazing, overwhelming, and it’s a great feeling. I can’t wait for the games to begin,” Billiat added, expressing his excitement for the new chapter in his career.
