This isn’t just any package, it’s one that will make the Chiefs big bucks. Therefore, according to Jessica Motaung, head of marketing at Chiefs, it could change the way this type of partnership is done in the future.

Amakhosi recently replaced huge global sponsor Nike with his former and current new sponsor, Kappa. It turns out that this surprise swap could bring huge benefits. Not only in style, but also financially.
Motaung has announced that this deal will bring great financial value to the Chiefs. Additionally, the way kit offers are processed may change in the future.

“Look, let’s just say, a very lucrative, an extensively lucrative deal and structured in a very unique way,” Motaung stated on the same publication

“And one that can change the trajectory of how kit deals are done, let’s say that,” she added.

That said, this deal should make a lot of money for Amakhosi.

Hence, we could see Chiefs finally rivaling Mamelodi Sundowns when it comes to signing big-name players, according to the same publication. We recently saw Chiefs lose to Teboho Mokoena and Sipho Mbule due to the offers they received from the Brazilians.
