Kaizer Chiefs door closes on Ngcobo?

Kaizer Chiefs defender Njabulo Ngcobo’s future has taken a sudden turn as reports emerge of interest from a DStv Premiership side looking to secure his signature.

With Ngcobo’s contract at Chiefs set to expire soon, his future at the club has become uncertain, despite talks of a potential renewal.

The new suitor, a Durban-based club, is said to be eyeing Ngcobo to bolster their defensive line.

The centre-back’s skillset and potential align well with the ambitions of the club, adding a layer of complexity to Ngcobo’s decision-making process.

Ngcobo, who has not quite lived up to expectations during his time at Amakhosi, has struggled for consistent game time since joining the team three seasons ago.

Despite this, his qualities such as composure, tactical awareness, and ball-playing ability have not gone unnoticed.

AmaZulu FC, the club reportedly interested in Ngcobo, presents an opportunity for the defender to reunite with a familiar environment, having previously been part of their reserve side in 2016.

This added interest puts Ngcobo in a strong negotiating position, with the option to either stay at Chiefs or embark on a new challenge with AmaZulu.
