AmaZulu threaten to hijack Kaizer Chiefs target

The race for the signature of Shaune Mogaila is heating up, with AmaZulu reportedly edging closer to securing the services of the versatile winger.

Mogaila, who currently plies his trade for Royal AM, has emerged as a transfer target for both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

However, it seems that AmaZulu is now making significant strides towards completing the deal, potentially leaving the two Soweto giants empty-handed.

SoccerLaduma broke the news, indicating that AmaZulu is on the verge of finalizing the signing of Mogaila. The winger has impressed this season, making 15 league appearances and providing two assists.

His ability to operate effectively on either flank of attack or defense makes him a valuable asset for any team.

Earlier reports had linked Mogaila with a move to Orlando Pirates, with the Buccaneers reportedly keen on securing his services.

A versatile player like Mogaila would undoubtedly bolster Pirates’ squad depth, providing manager Jose Riveiro with additional options in key areas of the pitch.

However, with AmaZulu now in the picture, Pirates may face stiff competition for the player’s signature.

Despite boasting a talented squad, Pirates cannot afford to rest on their laurels, especially with the prospect of losing out on Mogaila to AmaZulu.

The recent absence of Patrick Maswanganyi against Cape Town City prompted Riveiro to deploy Lesedi Kapinga in the number 10 role, showcasing the team’s depth but also highlighting the need for reinforcements.
