However as the old saying goes, speed kills. This was the case when one street racer nearly had meeting with his maker and injuring a pedestrian in a tragic turn of events.

According to reports, On 22 October 2023, the reckless street race on Voortrekker Road Gezina took a tragic turn when a racer lost control and crashed into the sidewalk.

The driver was left critically injured, prompting swift response from emergency services.
