Here are the 4 brothers accused of allegedly killing AKA as media reports say those guys dont play around
The recent arrest of the Ndimande brothers in connection with the murder of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes has shed light on the notorious and powerful family hailing from northern KwaZulu-Natal.
Residents of Ocilwane, a rural community near Richards Bay, have described the brothers as intimidating figures with a reputation for showing no mercy.
Siyabonga “Nxele” Ndimande, Malusi “Mjay” Ndimande, Lindani Ndimande, and Lindokuhle Ndimande, along with other co-accused individuals, have been implicated in the heinous crime.
According to court documents, several mistakes made by the suspects helped law enforcement authorities track them down.
Lindokuhle Ndimande’s actions, such as opening a bank account on the day of AKA’s murder and being caught on CCTV using his card at a restaurant where the rapper was present, placed him at the scene of the crime.
Additionally, the getaway car used by the killers was involved in a hit-and-run incident a month later, leading to further evidence against the suspects.
The extradition application filed by KwaZulu-Natal director of public prosecutions Elaine Harrison outlines a web of evidence linking the Ndimande family and the other suspects to various criminal activities, including hits on rival taxi bosses.
The application describes a complex network involving guns, bank accounts, cellphone records, tracking reports, and witness statements that implicate the suspects in multiple crimes.
The case has also brought to light the brutal murder of William Kunene, a rival taxi boss, in Amanzimtoti in November 2022. Siyabonga Ndimande is alleged to have paid the gunmen responsible for Kunene’s death.
