” I’m hurt today, they killed my daughter am hurt.” Says heartbroken Fikile Mbalula

On Monday night Fikile Mbalula, a South African politician and the Secretary-General of the African National Congress (ANC), took to X (Formerly known as twitter) to announce tragic news.

He had the internet a buzz after he announced that they had killed his daughter. His post quickly gain attention with many concerned and pouring out their messages of condolences. However he later clarified that it was not his biological daughter but rather his work daughter.

In a follow up post he clarified that the daughter he mentioned was in fact Keletile “Kelly” Mathata, who worked at his office.

Kelly died in a hail of bullets at Molewa Pub and Grill in Hebron, Pretoria, in the early hours of Monday morning, after gunmen opened fire on their vehicle, in what appears to be a hit.

Mathata was killed alongside a male driver, his identity has not been confirmed.

Tributes continue to pour in for Kelly who’s life was tragically cut short as the police investigate circumstances surrounding the incident. No arrests have been made.
