Domestic dispute between boyfriend and girlfriend ends in bloodshed

A Durban woman was shot dead in her own home in Pinetown allegedly by her boyfriend after a bitter domestic dispute.

Emergency services were alerted to the shooting in Tyrone Road in Padfield Park, and paramedics arrived to find the South African Police Service and private security companies already on the scene.

The paramedics were directed inside the house, where they discovered a female victim who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Despite their best efforts, the paramedics determined that there was nothing they could do to save her, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

While initial reports suggest that the shooting may have been the result of a domestic dispute, the police have launched an investigation to ascertain the true circumstances surrounding the incident.

Details regarding the identities of those involved and the motive behind the shooting have not yet been released.
