Dangerous one eye man wanted for police murder

On Monday, April 22, 2024, the Kabokweni Magistrate’s Court issued a warrant of arrest for fugitive Blessing Fakude, who is implicated in the murder of off-duty police officer Captain Sibusiso Mthombothi (44).

The incident took place during a shootout at a car wash in Kanyamazane on Saturday, January 13, 2024.

The co-accused, Jacky Sibusiso Ntiwane (Maseko), aged 35, was sought by the Hawks Nelspruit-based Serious Organised Crime Investigation for his alleged involvement in the murder. His pursuit was reported on various media platforms on January 24, 2024.

Working with Crime Intelligence, the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) arrested Ntiwane on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in Kanyamazane.

A team consisting of Nelspruit Crime Intelligence, the Provincial Tracking team, and the Tactical Response Team approached Ntiwane’s home at around 2:00 AM on March 20, despite the high risk as the suspect was known to be armed.

Ntiwane was cornered and subsequently arrested. He appeared before the Kabokweni Magistrate’s Court on Friday, March 22, 2024, to face charges of murder. The case was postponed to April 4, 2024, for bail application, but Ntiwane chose to abandon his bail request for his safety.

The case was further postponed to May 10, 2024, for further investigation, with Ntiwane remaining in custody.
