Cassper Nyovest’s recent Shein outfit sparks mixed reactions among fans, with some praising his style while others criticise his choice of retailer.

When Shein gained popularity in South Africa in 2020, it became known as a budget-friendly retailer in the fast fashion scene, loved for its cute outfits and accessories.

Over time, the brand also attracted attention from celebrities, including “The Real Housewives of Durban” star Slee Ndlovu.

In a recent post on X, Nyovest shared a photo of himself wearing white shorts, a black and blue T-shirt, and a black cap.

When a follower asked where he got the cap, he revealed that his entire outfit was from Shein, except for his kicks and jewellery. “Shein, ma [my] dawg. The whole fit from Shein. Well, except [the] kicks and jewellery, of course. That’s another story,” he replied.

While some fans criticized him for shopping there, many praised him for pulling off the look without it appearing cheap.

One follower commented, “That’s the true mix-and-match style! Shein pieces can totally elevate your look—who says they can’t? Fashion is all about how you wear it,” said @NurmaAcc28.

Others were curious about what inspired him to shop at Shein, given that most celebrities typically prefer more expensive fashion.

“Is he trolling or what? There’s nothing wrong with shopping on Shein, but I wanna [want to] know how he got into it, pls [please] 😭😭😭it’s so random,” said @komanaItu.

In other news, Nyovest offered words of encouragement to his friend Lekau Sehoana, who is facing a major crisis after his fashion label Drip Footwear was liquidated.

He wrote, “Lekau is a fighter!!! He built an amazing company and he has an inspiring story. Business is hard; it’s got ups and downs.

“I also want to say that he has held me down since we met and worked together. I got your back!!! Keep your head up g!!! I know you’ll be back with a bang!!!”
