Head coach Hugo Broos acknowledges that this match will be a different challenge, especially considering Congo’s motivation for revenge after their previous humiliation.

What Broos said

“We want to do it, after the first leg, this will be a different game,

said Broos in a pre-match presser.

“If you lose 5-0, that is humiliation. I am sure Congo players will want revenge, they will be motivated to beat us. We know what to expect from them, it is a new game with three points to gain.”

What this means for Bafana Bafana

A victory for Bafana Bafana would bring them closer to qualification for the finals in Morocco and build momentum for the tournament.

With seven points in their group, a win would solidify their position, allowing them to look ahead to the finals with optimism.

The team, led by captain Ronwen Williams, is keen to build on their progress and aim for higher achievements in AFCON.
