Man aged 49 professes love for his 29-year-old blood sister before raping her at knife point
A 49-year-old man from Dikhutsaneng found himself in the spotlight as he faced his own sister in the Molepolole Magistrates’ Court on charges of rape, assault, and threats of murder.
The victim, a 29-year-old woman, bravely recounted the traumatic experience of being violated by her own flesh and blood.
Speaking out in court, the courageous sister detailed the horrifying events that transpired on that fateful day in December 2012. She stated that her brother had earlier told her how beautiful she was before he professed his undying love for him. Trouble started when she turned him down.
Forced at knifepoint, she was dragged into the bushes where her brother’s sinister intentions unfolded.
Recalling the chilling moment, she shared, “He ordered me to call my mother and friends, warning them that my life was in danger. He then brutalized me, stripping me of my dignity and subjecting me to the horrors of assault and rape.”
The victim’s bravery in coming forward with her story serves as a beacon of hope for survivors of similar atrocities, shedding light on the dark realities of domestic violence and abuse within families.
