Police launch manhunt after triple murder in KZN
Police in KwaZulu-Natal are currently conducting a search for unidentified suspects responsible for the shooting incident in the Nhlungwane area of Inanda. The attack led to the deaths of three people, while another narrowly escaped harm.
Upon receiving reports of shooting along Mpunzi Road, law enforcement officials arrived to find two victims, a man in his early 40s and a 24-year-old woman, fatally wounded and lying on the road.
Additionally, a 50-year-old man was found deceased in his cottage, also having sustained gunshot wounds. A neighbour also targeted in the attack managed to escape unharmed.
Initial investigations suggest that after shooting the first victims, the assailants proceeded to a nearby residence where they demanded keys for a minibus taxi from female occupants. Although the women were unharmed and escaped, the suspects obtained a spare key for the vehicle. Subsequently, they targeted the cottages nearby, shooting another victim and seizing the original keys before fleeing in the minibus taxi, which was later found abandoned in the Ntuzuma area.
The previous evening, a separate fatal shooting occurred in close proximity to the triple murder scene, although it remains unclear if these incidents are connected.
