Coco Gauff confronts her screaming teen brother at Miami Open
Tennis sensation Coco Gauff has been enjoying the rare luxury of sleeping in her own bed during the Miami Open, thanks to her close proximity to the tournament venue.
The world No. 3, who resides near the WTA 1000 tournament, has been relishing the convenience of commuting from her home in Delray Beach to the Hard Rock Stadium for her matches.
While the comfort of home has undoubtedly been a welcome change for Gauff, it hasn’t been entirely without its challenges.
The 20-year-old star recently revealed that she had to address a noisy disruption caused by her teenage brother, Codey, while she was trying to rest and prepare for her matches.
In an interview with the WTA, Gauff humorously shared, “My family can be a little loud sometimes.”
She went on to explain that her 16-year-old brother’s enthusiastic involvement in one of his games led to some disruptive noise levels, prompting her to confront him about the disturbance.
Despite the occasional interruptions, Gauff’s performance on the court has been nothing short of impressive, with the young American advancing to the last 16 of the Miami Open while dropping just seven games along the way.
