Hojlund heaps praises on Benni McCarthy after rediscovering his scoring form for Manchester United
Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has recently opened up about how a meeting with coach Benni McCarthy has contributed to his improved goalscoring form.
The Denmark international, who made a successful comeback in Sunday’s 4-3 victory over Liverpool at Old Trafford, credited the discussions with McCarthy for enhancing the team’s attacking play.
In an interview with local media, Rasmus reflected on the shift in his goal-scoring streak that commenced on Boxing Day in the Premier League.
He highlighted the importance of collaboration among the attacking trident to capitalize on scoring opportunities.
“The two wider forwards assist the center-forward, and we try to work together to ensure that we convert more chances,” Rasmus explained.
The 21-year-old forward shed light on the positive impact of the meetings with Benni McCarthy on the forward department as a whole.
“We have found each other better,” he stated, emphasizing the team’s commitment to helping one another on the field.
Rasmus revealed that the meetings were attended by all members of the front line, not just a select few.
“We talked about playing well together and supporting each other because that’s how we will achieve the best results,” he shared.
