Phoenix man allegedly kills wife and 3-year-old child before turning gun on himself
Police in Phoenix are investigating a devastating shooting incident that resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including a three-year-old girl, in what appears to be a horrific case of domestic violence.
The incident unfolded in Clayfield on Saturday afternoon, leaving a community in shock.
According to KZN VIP Protection Services, the man is suspected of killing his wife and daughter before taking his own life.
Provincial police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda provided details of the tragic event, stating,
“Police responded to reports of a shooting on Pipeclay Drive, and upon arrival, police found the body of a woman lying in a pool of blood.”
Reports suggest that the suspect, who was driving with his three-year-old child, called for the child’s mother.
As the victim approached the vehicle, she was allegedly met with a barrage of bullets
Netshiunda added, “The suspect is said to have got out of his vehicle and continued shooting at her.”
After fleeing from the initial crime scene, the suspect reportedly went to his residence on Clayfield Drive.
There, he allegedly took the life of his own child before turning the gun on himself.
Netshiunda confirmed, “A firearm suspected to have been the murder weapon was found next to his body.”

The incident has left the family and community members traumatised, as KZN VIP Protection Services attended the scene to provide support.
The motive behind the tragic event is yet to be determined as investigations are ongoing.
