Senzo Meyiwa’s Brother Does Not Believe That Kelly Khumalo is Involved in The Murder

During the trial of the accused in the murder of former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa, the brother of the late soccer star, Sifiso Meyiwa, has  dismissed allegations against singer Kelly Khumalo and accused Investigating Officer Brigadier Bongani Gininda of being a liar and corrupt.

The controversy unfolded as Brigadier Gininda testified last Wednesday in the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.

Two of the accused, Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya and Bongani Ntanzi, reportedly implicated Kelly Khumalo as the one who ordered them to kill Senzo Meyiwa.

The testimony was part of a trial-within-a-trial to determine the admissibility of alleged confessions made by Sibiya and Ntanzi.

Speaking exclusively to eNCA, Sifiso Meyiwa expressed strong disbelief in the alleged confessions and accused Gininda of fabricating evidence to protect his own interests.

Meyiwa insisted, “I know Gininda is lying, this is how he operates… He’s lying, Kelly didn’t hire hitmen to kill Senzo.”

Despite evidence linking Khumalo to the murder accused presented in court, Sifiso stood firm in his belief that she was not involved.

Is Kelly Khumalo really being framed?

Instead, he accused Gininda of planting evidence and manipulating the case to serve his agenda.

“I know how Gininda operates, that man is very dangerous and manipulative. He can easily capture your brain,” Sifiso said, drawing on his 20 years of experience working in a police station.

Sifiso also contested the professional nature of the alleged hit on Senzo, pointing out that hitmen typically use more than one bullet and leave no witnesses.

He accused the state of working with Gininda, asserting that justice was not being sought for his brother’s death.

In a startling revelation, one of the accused, Ntanzi, claimed through his legal representative that Gininda offered him R3 million for a confession that would “right people” in the murder.

Sfiso has made up his guard regarding the matter

Gininda has denied making such an offer, but Sifiso insisted that he believes the offer was made, citing multiple instances where individuals were allegedly offered bribes to confess.

Closing his statement, Sifiso expressed the family’s desire for truth and justice.

He maintained that, despite their skepticism regarding Khumalo’s involvement, they wanted her to tell the truth.

Meyiwa vowed to continue seeking justice until the real perpetrator is behind bars.

What’s next for the Senzo Meyiwa case

The trial, which has captivated the nation, continues on Monday as the accused, including Sibiya and Ntanzi, face charges in connection with Senzo Meyiwa’s tragic death on October 26, 2014, at the residence of singer Kelly Khumalo in Vosloorus.

The case remains a difficult puzzle with allegations of corruption, conflicting confessions, and a determined family seeking answers.
