Bravo B Disqualified from Big Brother Mzansi Season 4 Amid Controversial Remarks
Lindokuhle Nsele, popularly known as Bravo B, has been disqualified from Big Brother Mzansi Season Four after a controversial video surfaced on social media.
The disqualification decision comes in the wake of a video featuring Bravo B and fellow contestant Tshepo Tau, also known as Makhekhe, discussing inappropriate actions while drunk.
The video circulated on social media showcased Bravo B and Makhekhe making explicit comments about fellow contestants Liema and Zee, with a focus on their intentions while under the influence of alcohol.
“I was planning that the girl who can let me smash is Mpumi, my homegirl, just to satisfy my…” revealed Bravo B in the video.
Following the emergence of the video, the production team of Big Brother Mzansi issued a statement on Friday morning, stating that they were investigating the matter and would provide an update in due course.
“We are aware of the incident that transpired in the early hours of this morning in the Big Brother Mzansi house,” the production team stated.
“We are currently investigating this matter and will provide an update in due course.”
As the controversy unfolded, some fans took to social media, threatening to report the show to the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA), while others urged the production team to take immediate action against the involved participants.
Big Brother Mzansi and Multichoice respond to Bravo B incident
In response to the public outcry, Multichoice, the broadcasting company responsible for Big Brother Mzansi, issued a statement on Friday evening addressing the incident.
“We do not condone any acts that threaten the safety of the housemates on the show, and we take Gender Based Violence seriously.”
“The housemate that initiated and drove the conversation (Bravo B) has been disqualified from the game, and the other housemate (Makhekhe) will face a reprimand from Big Brother with a social lesson on behavior etiquettes,” the statement read.
Furthermore, the statement confirmed that Mzansi Magic, the channel broadcasting the reality show, would ensure that Makhekhe is coached to call out anyone who speaks or behaves in a inappropriate manner.
